Mutant Virus Strain From UK Strikes India

NEW DELHI: At least six cases of Mutant Virus Strain from the United Kingdom have been reported in India.

According to local media reports, passengers returning from the UK underwent tests after which 03 of the patients in NIMHANS, Bengaluru, 02 in CCMB, Hyderabad & 01 in NIV, Pune were tested positive for the new mutant virus strain.

The Indian Health Ministry says all 6 people have been kept in single room isolation in designated healthcare facilities by the state governments, and their close contacts have also been put under quarantine.
