ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s premier intelligence agency, the ISI has termed the recent rant by a group of journos and so-called liberals claiming to from civil society, as part of 5th generation war.
A statement issued by the federal information ministry, quoted officials of the ISI as saying that the agency had nothing to do with attack on digital media journalist Asad Toor, and believed that since the faces of the culprits were identifiable, investigation should go ahead and stiff action should be taken against those responsible. The ISI offered its cooperation with the investigation agencies.
The federal information ministry added that it was in touch with the capital police, and expressed hope that the culprits would soon be apprehended. The ministry urged that the practice of leveling allegations against state institutions and agencies without any proof must come to an end.
