KARACHI: In a startling revelation, a report published in the Veterans Today website and circulated by Iran’s media claims that Michael D’ Andrea, the head of US intelligence operations against Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan, has been killed in Taliban’s shoot-down of a US military plane in Ghazni.

The report claimed that the plane, allegedly shot down yesterday in Ghazni’s Deh Yaak district, was the mobile CIA command for Michael D’ Andrea, and now, America’s most advanced spy platform and mobile command centre with all equipment and documents are in Taliban’s hands.

Yesterday, multiple sources after watching the video had confirmed that the downed plane was USAF E-11A Battlefield Airborne Communications Node – BACN, as appeared at the tailcode in the video.

On June, 2017, New York Times had published a report claiming that Michael D’Andrea had been assigned to look after CIA’s Iran operations, in what was described as ” first major sign that the Trump administration is invoking the hard line the president took against Iran during his campaign.”
