KABUL: Afghan Taliban have condemned President Trump’s peace plan for the Middle East, the so called ‘deal of the century’.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Afghan Taliban called President’s Trump plan as clear violation of Palestinian rights.

The plan, it may be mentioned here, seeks to resolve Palestine-Israel conflict by favoring Israel to a great extent. It envisages eastern Bait al Maqdis, the Jordan valley and the large usurped lands of Palestine including the illegal Israeli settlements to become a part of Israel.

Afghan Taliban said “Bait al Maqdis is the first Qibla of the Muslim Ummah and Palestine the rightful homeland of its people hence this issue it is not up for any deal. And just as the Palestinian people called this peace plan a conspiracy and a foolish proposal, the Islamic Emirate backs the oppressed Palestinians in their call.”

They urged all Islamic countries and the Islamic Conference to fulfill their responsibility in this sensitive issue affecting the entire Muslim Ummah and to take steps in unison in opposition to this oppressive deal.

Afghan Taliban warned that such ‘misleading and tyrannical steps’ and plans will only pour fuel on the fire of war in the Middle East.
