2 Terrorists Killed In DIK Encounter

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Two terrorists were killed in an encounter which took place in the suburbs of Dera Ismail Khan last night.

Reports gathered by the Regional Telegraph revealed that on a tip off, a team of counter terrorism department (CTD) raided Bagwani village where they met stiff resistance by terrorist hiding in the area.

The battle continued for hours after which two terrorists identified as Waqar, resident of Zafarabad, and Naved resident of Basti Darkhan Wali. Both of the culprits were said to be involved in attack on a police post few days back, kidnapping for ransom, and attacks on sensitive installations.

Both of the terrorists were reportedly affiliated with banned outfit TTP’s Khayara splinter group. Local police recovered Wireless sets, Kalashnikov and hand grenades from the encounter site, and kicked off a search operation in the area.
