Journo Who Revealed ‘Rented Crowd’ Story About PPP’s Train March Killed & Dumped

MEHRABPUR: A journalist from rural Sindh’s Mehrabpur City was found killed and dumped in a water canal on Sunday.
President of Mehrabpur Press Club, Aziz Memon, who was also associated with KTN TV and Kawish Newspaper, was found dead in Godu Canal today.
Memon got fame when he broke story about crowd rented to welcome train march of PPP’s Bilawal Bhutto late last year.
In a video recorded earlier but went viral after his killing, Memon was seen naming those who had threatened him for giving story about how PPP’s local leadership promised villagers of Rs. 2000 for welcoming Bilawal’s Train March but instead of that, they were paid only Rs. 200 each.
In his video, slain journo Aziz Memon was seen naming PPP leaders and Sindh police officers for threatening him, due to which he had to leave for Islamabad to seek protection and raise the issue with journalists’ community.
Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah and IG Sindh Dr Kaleem Imam, meanwhile, have taken and ordered police officials to furnish report about the murder at the earliest.
