ISLAMABAD: At least 3 civilians embraced martyrdom and three others injured when Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling at civilian population alongside Line of Control on Tuesday.
Local sources in Azad Kashmir told Regional Telegraph that Indian forces deliberately targeted different civilian sectors in district Haveli, including Kerni Mandhar and Neza Pir areas.
Three people, one of them identified as Sheikh Ghulam Din, his wife and grandson lost lives as a result of intense shelling by Indian forces at their villages, while three other injured.
Earlier, Indian forces tried to target a higher secondary school in Titiri Not area. Shells fired by Indian forces landed near school but no casualty was reported.
Heavy firing and shelling by Indian troops also continued at Rakh Chakri, Pando, Chand Tikri areas.
