3 Yrs Of Op Radd-ul-Fasaad: Army Chief Vows To Consolidate Gains of WoT, Thwart Threats

RAWALPINDI: Army Chief Gen Qamar Bajwa has expressed determination to consolidate gains of all previous military operations, and thwart all threats to security/ sovereignty of Pakistan.

This has been disclosed in a series of tweets posted by the DG ISPR from his official account on completion of 3 years of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad on Saturday.

The Army Chief was quoted as saying that Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad was launched on 22 Feb 2017 across the country to consolidate gains of all past Operations, indiscriminately eliminating residual / latent threat of terrorism, ensuring security of Pakistan’s orders.

“In this journey from terrorism to terrorism, Security forces and Intelligence agencies backed by the entire nation, achieved unparalleled success at a monumental cost paid in men & material,” said Army Chief.

He paid rich tributes to martyrs, calling them “our real heroes and pride,” adding that “we also salute our resilient nation in defeating extremists’ ideology and for unflinching support to the armed forces.”

Army Chief expressed firm resolve to consolidate gains of 2 decades of War on Terror in order to achieve enduring peace and stability both for Pak & the region. He declared that “Army is aware and capable of thwarting all threats to security/ sovereignty of Pakistan, irrespective of the cost.”
