KARACHI: Pakistan and the Kashmiris across the globe observe ‘Black Day’ today to express solidarity with people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K), who are faced with illegal occupation for the last 72 years.
Present government after coming into power had expressed firm resolve to high light the atrocities and brutalities committed by Indian occupation forces against the masses of Occupied Valley.
It may be mentioned here that Pakistan has been holding regular protests and solidarity activities at home and abroad since India clamped the curfew in occupied valley on Aug 5 and imposition of unprecedented restrictions across all of the occupied area.
According to the plan regarding Black Day, foreign diplomats will be briefed about the latest situation in IOJ&K, while Pakistan’s Missions abroad will organize receptions for Pakistanis and Kashmiris, hold rallies and processions, arrange photo exhibitions displaying Indian atrocities and the prolonged curfew.
Government sources said the print and electronic media would publish articles and air special programmes today in order to highlight plight of Kashmiris in the occupied valley.
People across the country will hold gatherings, take out rallies, walks and arrange demonstrations to register their protest against Indian atrocities in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir..
Black banners, Panaflex, hoardings and streamers would be displayed at prominent roads and places to mark the day in an appropriate manner.
