PM Urges Masses To Go Into Self-Isolation, Rules Out Lock National Down

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has ruled out lock down at the moment citing 25 percent of the population which lives below the poverty line.

Addressing the nation on mainstream media on Sunday, he said had there been Italy or China like situation in Pakistan, would have opted for curfew type lock down in the country.

PM Imran Khan said in the case of a lock down, we would be in need to supply food to the poor masses/daily wages workers for two weeks, asking if it was possible to do so under given capacity of the government.

He said the entire nation needed to forge unity and wage struggle against Corona outbreak, urging media to play a responsible role, adding that panic would be far more disturbing than Corona outbreak.
