KARACHI: Sindh government has announced lockdown in the province effective 12 O Clock tonight for next 15 days.
Announcing the decision, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said all offices and public places will completely remain closed, and no one will be allowed to come out of home unnecessarily.
He said anyone coming out of home in any sort of urgency will have to carry his Identity Card, adding that all Station House Offices (SHOs) have been directed to make these announcements from mosques in their areas. He said security personnel have directed not to stop anyone coming out of home in an urgency.
Besides these, only a one person will be allowed to sit next to the driver in a vehicle, and if the same going to hospital, two persons will be allowed to take patient that way.
The Chief Minister said his government will make sure that no hoarding, price hike takes place during this period, adding that shops of essential items will remain open. He said this is a national emergency, and and everyone of us need to join hands to move forward.
