Big To Smuggle Rs 7Bn Of Heroin, Opium To Belgium Foiled

KARACHI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled attempt to smuggle 700 kgs Heroine and 80 Kgs Opium to Belgium in a raid conducted at Qasim International Container Terminal (QICT) Karachi.

According to official sources, the ANF PCU team intercepted a Container no MEDU5354822 containing Soap Stone as cover load destined to Antwerp, Belgium. During thorough physical examination of cargo 700 kgs Heroine and 80 Kgs Opium recovered which were tactfully concealed in the cargo.

As per information, the consignment was being exported by Al Razi Trader, Shop no 17, Near Police Station, Farid Town Sahiwal, to consignee PROTUTEX TRADING, Belgium, through clearing agent Al Noor Shipper.

The ANF said that the international market worth of drugs seized at Port Qasim stands at approximately Rs 7 billion.
