PMSA Rescues Broken Down Ship, 18 Fishermen From Deep Sea

KARACHI: Pakistan Maritime Security Agency personnel rescued a broken down ship which was flooded with seawater, and 18 fishermen after a marathon operation in deep sea.

According to details, on 21 May 2020, information received from MRCC ( Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Center Pakistan) which is established at HQ PMSA that one fishing boat namely “ALLAH TAWKAL ” has developed some machinery break down in open sea.

Subsequently, PMSA ship was tasked immediately to approach towards the distress fishing boat and provide assistance. PMSA ship reached at the position of stranded boat which was flooded with sea water.

Immediately de-flooding of the boat carried out by PMSA ship with the help of de-flooding pumps. Later on fishing boat was taken in tow and brought to Karachi safely, including 18 x Fisher men onboard.
