13 Including Police Commander Killed In Afghanistan’s Badakhshan

KABUL: A local police commander and 12 others were killed in what has been reported as mine explosion in Badakhshan province.

According to Badakhshan police spokesperson Sanaullah Rouhani, a fight broke out last night between Taliban and local police in Khash district of Badakhshan province.

During the course of battle, local commander Mazari and 10 of his guards were hit by a landmine, killing them on the spot. Mazari was one of the local police commanders in Khash district.

Those who were killed in the explosion were identified as Commander Mazari resident of village Kajgarden, Abdul Qadir resident of village Baklak, Hidayatullah from the village of Bqlak, Wali Allah from the village of Mughla, Abdul Raziq from the village of Kajgarden, Nizam from the village of Kajjard, Homayo from the village of Kajgarden, Tahraz resident of Kajjardan village, Asghar, Habib, Zabihullah & Navidullah all from village Kajgarden.
