KABUL: At least four people were killed and several other injured in a bomb blast that took place near a famous mosque in west of Kabul.
According to Interior Ministry spokesperson Tariq Arain, the bomb went off near Sher Shah Suri Mosque in Kart-e-Char area in Kabul.
Health officials confirmed that among the casualties, one person who lost life was Imam at Sher Shah Suri Mosque. Officials said they believed the explosive was planted inside the mosque which went off, killing and injuring the people.
Eye witnesses said soon after the blast, people were seen running for safety with their clothes covered in blood.
