KARACHI: At least six people lost lives, and four terrorists were killed in terror attack on Karachi Stock Exchange Monday morning.
Initial reports suggest that gunmen armed with automatic weapons stormed the Karachi Stock Exchange building, threw grenades, resulting in multiple casualties.
Sindh Rangers and police rushed to the spot, resulting in exchange of Fire. Four terrorists were killed while two people including a police sub inspector were martyred in the battle.
Security forces recovered arms and ammo, including hand grenades from the scene while clearance operation was underway when Sindh Rangers declared all the terrorists as dead.
In a statement released to media, Karachi Police spokesperson said Sub Inspector Shahid was the first person to lose life when gunmen stormed the building, while 3 civilians were injured in that phase of attack.
Later, the gunmen entered inside the premises and martyred 4 security guards and a civilian.
The spokesperson said that after neutralizing all the four terrorists, a clearance operation was kicked out in and around the building of stock exchange.
