KARACHI: In yet another big achievement, the Anti-Terror Cell of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a key member of sleeper cell of Indian Intelligence agency RAW from Karachi.
According to details available with the Regional Telegraph, the culprit has been identified as Zafar, former employee of Karachi Fire Brigade, involved in a number of terror incidents including bomb blasts.
FIA sources said Zafar, also affiliated with MQM London, was given military training in India by Mehmood Siddiqi Group, and is believed to be expert of using sophisticated weapons as well as making bombs. He is reported to have conducted 14 months of military training in India.
Besides him, two suspects of a money exchange firm linked with Havala/Hundi network have also been arrested by the FIA who were involved in funding sleeper cell of RAW.
These two have been identified as Director of the money exchange Firm Sufyan and Manager Javed.

FIA sources said these suspects were providing funds to anti-state elements through Havala/Hundi network.
Laptop, arms and cell phones of these suspects have also been seized by the FIA, sources added.
Later the FIA produced the 3 suspects, Zafar, Sufyan and Javed, in Anti-Terrorism Court which granted physical custody for 7 days.
During the proceedings, the FIA disclosed that the suspects were rounded up during raids in Civic Center, Liaqatabad and Khalid Bin Waleed Road areas.
