3 Indian Soldiers Killed, 6 Injured In Rebels’ Attack

NEW DELHI: At least 3 Indian soldiers were killed and six injured when armed rebels attacked their post in the breakaway region of Manipur.

According to details gathered by the Regional Telegraph, at least three personnel of 4th Assam Rifles were killed and another six injured when they were attacked by cadres of proscribed outfit PLA at Khongtal village under Chakpikarong PS in Chandel district.

Details suggest that the incident took place on 29th July at around 6:30 pm. Those who were killed in rebels’ attack have been identified as No. 412160 Hav/GD Pranay Kalita, No. 5009574 Rfn/GD Ratan Salam and No. 5005839 Rfn/GD Methna Konyak.

Besides these, six others injured, five of whom have been identified as 1.Sub S Hoakip, 2.Hav Nitul Sharma, 3.Rfn Vivekanan, 4.Rfn Sandeek Kr and 5.Sepoy Anis kr (Army per).

The victims have been shifted to JNIMS mortuary at the time of filing of this story.
