18 Killed, 40 Injured In Car Bomb Attack In Afghanistan’s Logar

Afghan Taliban deny involvement In Logar Attack

KABUL: At least 18 people were killed and 40 injured in a car bomb attack in Afghanistan’s Logar province on Thursday evening.

The explosive laden vehicle went off at Shahidan square in Pole Alam, the capital of Logar province. The head of Logar Provincial Council Hasibullah Stanikzai confirmed the casualties.

Local sources claim that the number of those dead and injured in the car bomb explosion may be higher than what has been reported so far.

Meanwhile, Afghan Taliban have denied their involvement in the car bomb attack, which came at the completion of prisoners’ release as part of Doha peace agreement.
