Afghanistan: 8 Injured In Car Bomb Explosion At Faryab Police HQ

KABUL: At least eight people including three security personnel were reported injured in a car bomb explosion near Police Headquarters in Faryab Province.

Reports gathered from multiple sources suggested that Police Headquarters building in Faryab’s Qaiser district was the target of the car bomb attack.

Some reports quoted locals as saying that clashes broke out between attackers and the police force soon after the explosion. A portion of the police headquarters was razed to the ground as a result of the explosion, while nearby buildings also got damaged.

No one had claimed responsibility for the blast till the filing of this report.
